How much does transport from Vietnam cost

The price is fixed in the contract before transport begins. It depends on the city in Vietnam, the flight and layovers, the need for embalming (determined by the airline), and the city in Ukraine. The price includes documents, preparation of the body, a three-layer coffin with a zinc liner, transport, and handover to the family. A burial coffin is provided free of charge. Transit takes from 72 hours.

If the person worked in Vietnam

Under the Law of Vietnam on Social Insurance 2024, foreigners with an employment contract for 12 months or longer have compulsory social insurance. If the person paid contributions for at least 12 months, or died at work or from an occupational disease, the person arranging the funeral receives a funeral allowance: 10 times the so-called reference level (mức tham chiếu). From 1 July 2026, this is about 25.3 million VND.

What to do: ask the employer for the employment contract and proof of social insurance. We will advise you on which death documents are needed to claim the payment.

An urn is cheaper than a body
