From the first call about a death abroad to the farewell in Ukraine: transport of the deceased, the documents and the funeral. You can order everything together, and then one team and one phone number see you through the whole journey. Or you can order only what is still missing.
What we do
Repatriation of the deceased from abroad
Our main work. We collect the deceased from the hospital or morgue and arrange the documents. Then we prepare the deceased for the journey, take them across the border and hand them over to the family. “From” prices for each country are on the Prices page.
Transport of an urn with ashes
If the cremation has already taken place abroad, we bring the urn to Ukraine. That includes the documents for the border and secure packing of the urn. Transport to Ukraine costs from €100, depending on the country.
Preparing the body
Embalming, if the country or the airline requires it. Preparation for the farewell, so that the family can say goodbye at home.
Arranging the documents
The death certificate, the apostille, a translation into Ukrainian, the permit to take the deceased out of the country, and the documents for the consulate and customs.
Air transport
For countries that are far away. The deceased travels in the cargo hold of a plane to an airport near Ukraine: Warsaw, Rzeszów or Chișinău. The air leg takes from 2.5 hours. The rest of the journey is by road.
Road transport
In a specialist vehicle from the morgue abroad to the place of farewell in Ukraine. This is how we bring the deceased home from neighbouring countries, and from countries where the road is the more convenient route.
Funerals across Ukraine
The farewell, a priest and the burial. This is a separate service and is not included in the price of the transport. We arrange funerals across Ukraine, and we bring the deceased to any town or city in Ukraine.

Coffins for transport
The deceased must arrive at the Ukrainian border in a hermetically sealed coffin with a zinc liner. We will choose such a coffin for you, and a coffin for the farewell too.

What the transport includes, and what is separate

A funeral anywhere in Ukraine (the farewell, a priest, the burial) is ordered separately. If you have already made arrangements with a funeral home in your own town, we simply hand the deceased over to the family in the town or city you name.
Sometimes the family has already arranged the documents abroad. In that case we take on only what is still missing: preparing the body, the coffin, the journey and the border. We work out the price for your case.

Questions about our services
Can I order just one service?
Yes. For example, only the transport from the border, only the documents, or only the urn with ashes. Tell us what has already been done, and we will work out the price for the rest.
What is included in the price of repatriation?
Everything needed to bring the person home, up to the moment we hand the deceased over to the family in Ukraine. The full list is on the Prices page. A funeral in Ukraine is separate.
What if the cremation has already taken place abroad?
Then we will bring the urn with ashes home, with the same paperwork for the border. The price is from €100, depending on the country.
Who deals with the documents at the consulate?
We do. The consul registers the death of a Ukrainian citizen abroad, and the consulate or embassy legalises the certificate for Ukrainian customs. We prepare this in advance, so that the deceased is not held up at the border.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes. Tell us during the call that the person had a policy, and we will contact the insurer ourselves and agree the transport with them.
